High School

The purpose of the Revolution is to help students REVOLT, REVOLVE, and REVOLUTIONIZE.
Basically, this means our High School group is full of students who want to join the revolution that Jesus started by becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus. We also view our lives as a single revolution (rotation) around a central point. That central point is obviously Jesus, so we do our best to make our entire life revolve around God. Finally, because God has done so much for us, we want to revolutionize (radically change) our world for God.

  • 9:00 AM: Grades 9 – 12 meet in Bldg. 8 for separate guys and gals Life Group Bible studies.
  • 10:30 AM: Grades 9 – 12 start with a little hangout time in the Great Room and then stay for the service which begins at 10:45 AM.

THERE ARE 5 TYPES OF EVENTS IN THE REVOLUTION

1) Outreach Events: Every month we have camping trips, parties, competitions, or all-night events so you and your friends can come hang out and have fun. Here are some examples of the events we have each year:

  • Muckfest (messiest competitions you have ever seen)
  • SOCKS (paintball type strategy game competing against other churches.)
  • Summer and Winter Camps (weekend and week-long camping trips to the beach or the mountains)
  • Aquapolusa! (Water balloon launchers and the world’s longest slip-and-slide)
  • Movie Nights (come hang out after a football game and eat some popcorn with friends)

2) Youth Group: Wednesdays from 6-8pm, the band plays some Rockin’ music, we hang with friends, play some crazy games, and discuss life/God. Oh yeah, and free dessert!

3) Life Groups: These are small groups of students that sign up to join a gender based Bible Study group. Each group goes out on bi-monthly outings with their group and meets each week to dig into the Bible.

4) Sunday Bible Study: Sunday’s at 10:45am students hang out in a low-key format and discuss the Bible. This group plays a few games or activities, and discusses God in a larger group setting with both genders.

5) Student Leadership: Sign up for Student Leadership and join one of three ministry teams. The Events Team plans monthly outreach events and organizes Wednesday night youth group. The Worship Team either plays in the worship band, drama team, or works on the tech team. The Missions Team plans service projects for people in the community and plans mission trips to places like Mexico.
